About the Court House

The Whittlesea Courthouse of Petty Sessions was established in 1864 and operated until 1989. After many idle years and with ongoing community support, the building was beautifully restored and re-opened to the public in 1996 as a Visitor Information Centre.

The centre provides comprehensive tourist information for both locals and visitors. Operated by dedicated volunteers, the centre offers insights into local attractions, events and heritage sites.

Opening hours

Open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, the centre is an essential stop for exploring the region.
